2.Psychology Technicians must interact with inmates and staff, as well as others outside the institution. They supervise the department's work cadre on a daily basis. They screen calls and handle routine inquiries, providing technical assistance and answering questions regarding the general nature of correctional programs. 3.Psychology Technicians must have a practical knowledge of psychological principles and methods within the Psychology Department to complete assignments involving the administration, scoring and distribution of various psychological tests. 4.Psychology Technicians are responsible for implementing the automated psychology data entry system, including initial implementation of PDS, training of all psychology staff, routine data entry and retrieval, automated test scoring and reconciling discrepancies in the files. They upload data to the national database in Central Office and import/export zip files on incoming/outgoing inmates. They assist in the coordination and collection of DAP monthly statistical activity reports, and other quarterly and annual reports.
