4.Accounting Technicians must have a knowledge of disbursements and fund accounting methods used in maintaining balancing and closing sub-accounts in an accounting system. They must adhere to the standards of the U.S. Treasury Department, the General Accounting office, Office of Personnel Management, the Department of Justice, and the Bureau of Prisons.
