  2. I have performed work necessary for the proper operation, maintenance of pumps, bilge and fire pumps. I have packed and adjusted glands; packed lubricated, adjusted, and cleaned pumps and strainers.
  3. I have assisted in performing maintenance on water pumps; greasing bearings; cleaning strainers; checking for water leaks, and installing new gaskets when needed.
  4. I have not had experience in performing most of these tasks.


* 9.Do you have experience on the critical and preventive maintenance of marine engineering systems? (This may include hands-on experience, on-the-job training, and formal training).
  1. I have performed troubleshooting, operations, maintenance, repairs and overhauls on machinery such as purifiers, brominators, Marine Sanitation Devices, vacuum collection systems, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps and/or evaporators. I have shipboard experience using some modules of common engineering programs such as SAMM, VMS, GLAS, SHIPCLIP, SM5, or AMOS.
  2. I have experience in troubleshooting, operating, maintaining and repairing equipment such as purifiers, brominators, Marin Sanitation Devices, salt water circulating pumps, and fire pumps.
  3. I have participated/assisted in troubleshooting, operating, maintaining and repairing equipment found in engine department.
  4. I have not had experience in performing most of these tasks.
