* 2.GS-9: Choose one answer that best describes your education and experience as related to the occupational requirement for this position.
  1. 2 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education or Masters or equivalent graduate degree in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management, or a combination of these fields.
  2. 1 full year of experience equivalent to at least GS-7 level in the Federal service. Experience includes contracting/procurement factions to procure repetitive items, equipment, supplies or services: developing firm fixed-price or similar well-defined contracts; determining/applying standard clauses or routine stipulations; performing pricing/cost analysis based on available data; interpreting standard information and its impact on the procurement; preparing administrative change orders.
  3. I completed education in excess of the first 18 graduate semester hours and I have completed less than one year of specialized experience as described above.
  4. I do not meet any of the requirements described above.


Grade: 11
GS-11 In addition, all applicants must have completed 1 full year of experience (equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal Service) performing the full range of acquisition functions (i.e., pre-award, award, post-award) to procure a variety of supplies, equipment and/or services. Duties included: analyzing procurement requests to determine requirements, recommending changes to statements of work or specifications, and determining appropriate type of contract and procurement plan; coordinating procurement plan and other contractual/procurement aspects with requestor(s), technical representative, and finance; developing procurement/contractual documents inclusive of determining terms and conditions; conducting pre-bid/proposal conferences and negotiations; analyzing bids/proposals, cost and pricing data and contractor responsibility, and recommending award; and, carrying out post-award functions (i.e., monitoring contract, evaluating performance, interpreting provisions, providing advice/guidance, negotiating contract modifications, processing terminations, conducting close-outs).

  1. I have at least one full year of experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service. This experience includes the full range of acquisition functions.
  2. Completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management, or a combination of these fields.
  3. I have a combination of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in or related to the work of this position and graduate level education in one or a combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management that provided the specific knowledges, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position.
  4. I do not meet any of the requirements described above.
